Events in life...

I got married this summer in St. Thomas USVI surrounded by our closest family and friends. We were all on a cruise sharing the same experiences and taking in the incredible sights together, and just having plain old fun. We had no Internet, no phones, but we didn't care.
Then my husband and I whisked off to Italy, a place I visited over 16 years ago and took in ruins, gorgeous cliff side views in Rome and Sorrento.
What makes a perfect getaway/holiday? I've been so many places around the world, seen the most exotic animals, architecture, and ruins, and yet this summer was as close to perfect as you can get... Because I got to share it with my most lives ones.

Awesome weekend... everyone needs days like this

Went snowboarding this weekend at Kickinghorse BC. What a great time. Sometimes hanging out with friends, even for the first time, during long weekend is what the soul needs. I am physically tired, as two days of hard snowboarding and eating junk does that to you, but so rejuvenated!  I suggest that everyone take time out of their busy lives, spend time with loved ones, smell the outdoors, and just learn how to live life again. Don't be so caught up in the material and inconsequential... learn to really live :)

What disgusts me...

This picture disgusts me. I know that the whole story behind it is very controversial, but I cannot help but still be disgusted by the actions of the police. I do see the perspective that they had no choice, and although I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, the lives of innocent creatures are now lost. I feel strongly about animal rights and when any creature is defenseless against any type of danger, there is something about me that breaks.
